Some just need a porch and a fire.

Mill Creek Camp is a collection of simple cabins nestled along a stretch of Arkansas Highway 7 in Newton County — far enough from the noise that you can hear yourself think, close enough to the Ouachita National Forest that adventure finds you.

The Experience

What happens when
you slow down
is what matters

Mill Creek Camp sits on the edge of the Ouachita National Forest — one of the oldest mountain ranges in North America. The trails, lakes, and hollows around here don't rush you. Neither do we.

Hiking & Biking

Miles of forest service trails start from our driveway — from easy creek walks to ridge-top climbs.

Lake Ouachita

Boating, fishing, and swimming are a short drive east. One of the clearest lakes in the region.

Stargazing

Zero light pollution. The Milky Way is visible most nights from the fire ring.

Pet Friendly

Bring the dog. Each cabin has a fenced yard and nearby trails for four-legged guests.

Getting Here

From the north, take US-270 south to AR-7 west. From the south, AR-7 runs directly through Newton County. The cabin signs are visible from the highway — look for the gravel pull-off.

We came for the weekend and stayed for the silence. The kind of quiet that makes you realize how loud normal life has been.
